Job Description

Robert Half Management Resources is looking for an experienced Workday Financials Project Manager to lead a critical implementation for one of our clients on an interim basis. This long-term contract position offers the opportunity to shape key financial systems and processes, utilizing your expertise in Workday ERP solutions.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee the design, configuration, and testing of Workday Financials modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Asset Management
  • Partner with stakeholders to analyze business needs and translate them into optimized Workday financial processes
  • Manage all phases of the implementation lifecycle, from planning and data conversion to testing and post-production support
  • Provide strategic guidance and recommend best practices to ensure successful deployment and avoid common challenges
  • Collaborate with integration and reporting teams to align functional designs with technical requirements
  • Lead functional workstreams to ensure timely and accurate execution of project goals
  • Develop and implement solutions that enhance financial operations and ensure compliance with organizational standards
  • Facilitate cross-departmental communication to ensure seamless integration of Workday Financials with existing systems
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success
  • Deliver training and support to end-users, ensuring smooth adoption of new systems

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience configuring Workday Financials
  • Proven track record in leading at least two full-lifecycle Workday Financials implementations for enterprise-level organizations
  • Strong understanding of the Financial Data Model and expertise in at least three core functional areas such as Banking, Expenses, Procurement, or Projects
  • Current or former Workday Financials Certification is highly preferred
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical teams to ensure alignment between functional and technical aspects
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex project environments

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with healthcare industry financial processes, including Patient Accounting integrations or Grants Management
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance and audit requirements related to financial systems
