Job Description

The Workday Financials Specialist is responsible for independently configuring and deploying enhancements in Workday Financials and PSA. This role delivers enhancements, configures Workday for business processes, manages bi-annual feature releases, handles complex support issues, and contributes to the stability and evolution of the Workday platform.

Job Responsibility

  • Configure and deploy Workday enhancements
  • Deliver scalable and maintainable Workday solutions based on business requirements
  • Manage module-specific updates during Workday’s bi-annual releases
  • Comply with the consistent use of standards, design patterns, and tools
  • Contribute to ensuring code quality, maintainability, and performance
  • Ensure that production issues are addressed promptly
  • Ensure that individual and team KPIs and SLAs are achieved
  • Collaborate with business users to clarify requirements and test solutions
  • Maintain documentation and support knowledge sharing within the team
  • Engaging with the business and IT stakeholders to address complex business problems through application solutions
  • Ensuring clear and effective communication of technical solutions

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience in enhancement and support of Workday Financials and PSA including Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Customer Accounts and Contracts, Procure to Pay, Time Tracking, Expenses, Projects and Project Billing
  • Strong experience in Workday configuration such as business process creation, custom objects, validations and security configuration
  • Strong understanding of software development standards, coding practices, and IT Service Management (ITSM) processes
  • Proficient in Agile Scrum methodologies
  • Strong work ethics with high sense of integrity and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent ability to create high quality functional/technical documentation and technical requirements gathering skills
  • Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical audience
  • Excellent collaboration skills
  • Actively stays current with emerging technologies
  • Strong experience in application development and support in a Global Shared Services set up
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related discipline
  • With at least 3 years’ experience in Workday development and support, with solid 2 years’ experience in configurations or enhancements

Nice to have

  • Experience in Financial Reporting and Adaptive Planning is a plus
  • Workday certification is desired
