Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Workday ERP Director to lead the strategy, administration, and ongoing evolution of the Workday environment in Salt Lake City, Utah. This leadership position will guide enterprise system performance across key business functions, working closely with Finance, HR, Payroll, and Operations leaders to deliver scalable solutions and reliable service. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in Workday platforms, integration oversight, and team leadership, along with the ability to align system priorities with organizational goals.

Job Responsibility

  • Shape the long-range vision for the Workday platform and align enhancement priorities with broader business objectives
  • Direct the administration of multiple Workday functional areas, ensuring dependable system performance, accurate data flow, and consistent user support
  • Lead governance for configuration updates, release planning, and evaluation of new functionality to support evolving organizational needs
  • Oversee inbound and outbound integrations connected to Workday, maintaining stability, performance, and data quality across linked systems
  • Manage, coach, and develop a team of analysts and system administrators while promoting accountability and continuous improvement
  • Partner with business leaders to gather requirements, translate operational needs into scalable solutions, and prioritize the enhancement pipeline
  • Present roadmap updates, risk considerations, and major system initiatives to senior stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Coordinate semi-annual Workday releases, testing efforts, deployments, and broader project execution for new modules and system enhancements
  • Support audit readiness and compliance efforts by maintaining strong access controls, documentation, and collaboration with cybersecurity and internal audit teams

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of Workday experience with advanced knowledge in multiple core areas such as HCM, Payroll, Benefits, Financials, or related modules
  • 3 or more years of people leadership experience with a demonstrated ability to build and manage high-performing systems teams
  • Hands-on experience managing Workday integrations, including tools such as Workday Studio, core connectors, or comparable integration platforms
  • Strong understanding of operational processes across HR, Finance, and Payroll environments
  • Knowledge of system controls, audit support, and access management within a regulated or compliance-focused setting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to executive audiences and convert business needs into system solutions
  • Experience leading Workday implementations, major expansions, or large-scale enhancement initiatives is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related field
  • Workday certification is a plus
