Job Description

We are looking for a Workday Administrator to join a Financial Services organization on a contract basis with the potential for a permanent role. This position partners with Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and external consultants to maintain accurate Workday financial configurations and support reliable business operations. The role is ideal for someone who can balance system administration, cross-functional collaboration, testing, and continuous improvement while helping the organization strengthen its long-term use of Workday.

Job Responsibility

  • Partner with Finance, HR, IT, and third-party consultants to translate operational needs into effective Workday financial module configurations
  • Review system setup and validate data accuracy to help ensure processes, calculations, and outputs align with business expectations
  • Build, refine, and maintain business processes within Workday to support efficient and compliant financial operations
  • Create and enhance reports that provide stakeholders with meaningful visibility into financial data and system performance
  • Coordinate and participate in testing activities, document outcomes, and resolve configuration issues before release
  • Provide day-to-day support for Workday users by troubleshooting issues, answering functional questions, and escalating complex problems when needed
  • Assist with ongoing configuration management, system updates, and enhancements to improve stability and usability over time
  • Support integration-related and technical collaboration efforts, including work connected to APIs and other connected enterprise platforms
  • Contribute to long-term optimization initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve workflows, reporting, and overall platform effectiveness

Requirements

  • Experience administering or supporting Workday, preferably with exposure to financial modules in a business environment
  • Ability to gather, interpret, and document business needs in a clear and organized business requirements format
  • Knowledge of configuration management practices and structured testing methods for enterprise applications
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to validate data, investigate issues, and recommend practical solutions
  • Familiarity with reporting, business process configuration, and ongoing system support within an ERP environment
  • Understanding of integrations, APIs, or related technical concepts that support connected business systems
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to work across Finance, HR, IT, and external consulting teams
