The team you will represent is pivotal in developing high-quality software tools and platforms that enhance the developer experience for real-time and embedded systems. Your contribution in this role will directly impact the success of Wind River and its customers. The focus of this role is to design and develop a modern Workbench tool by migrating and re‑architecting existing Eclipse‑based tooling to Visual Studio Code using TypeScript, enabling developers to efficiently build, debug, analyze, and improve software quality.
Job Responsibility:
Support on WorkBench (Eclipse -based IDE) including plug-ins and its installation
Work on Generating RPM(RedHat Pkg Mgr) from code
Develop on Manufacturing into WB installable (WorkBench load/binary)
Integrating WorkBench reference into Vxworks/HVP
Design software in flexible, extendable architecture
Deliver high-quality and maintainable code and unit test
Debug and troubleshoot your code
Resolve problems reported from both internal and external customers
Improving teams’ effectiveness by helping other team members
Requirements:
Bachelor or master’s degree in CS/EE or related areas
3–5 years of hands-on experience in frontend development
Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React (including hooks, state management, and component-based architecture)
Experience with modern frontend build tools and package managers (e.g., npm, yarn, webpack, Vite)
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins) and container technologies such as Docker
Experience developing Visual Studio Code extensions is strongly preferred
prior experience with Eclipse IDE or Eclipse plugin development is a strong plus
Basic understanding of backend systems, APIs, and integration concepts
Good understanding of software architecture and design principles
Exposure to embedded systems, developer tools, or systems programming is a plus
Good reading, writing, and oral communication skills in English
Strong teamwork spirit and ability to work effectively in a global team
Strong experience working in agile development environments
Solid understanding of modern frontend development practices and tooling
Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams (UX, backend, DevOps, QA)
Growth mindset with eagerness to learn new technologies and domains
Strong sense of ownership and teamwork
