Job Description:

As our Work Placement Officer, you will arrange and monitor the progress of full-time students on industry placements. Working in a team, sourcing learners, pre-screening and facilitating pre-interview preparation for all vacancies to ensure a high-quality placement service is provided in order to support learners and businesses for mutual success.

Job Responsibility:

  • Arrange and monitor extended work placements for full time students
  • Manage an agreed caseload of learners with minimum supervision to agreed timescales and standards
  • Responsible for risk assessments and Health and Safety issues that may relate to students within the workplace
  • Support tutors in the visiting schedule for all students
  • Assist in the administration with the recording of work placement activities
  • Promote the College’s curriculum programmes to employers and prospective learners
  • Attend internal and external meetings and events and report on learner progress
  • Maintain auditable records and record progress of learners on Pro Monitor

Requirements:

  • Practical experience working in early years settings, schools, colleges, or youth work and assessing experience
  • Understanding of T Levels and industry placements requirements (e.g., safeguarding, placement hours, employer engagement)
  • Experience in liaising with employers and supporting students in finding and completing placements
What we offer:

31 days per annum (excluding bank holidays and up to 3 additional discretionary days over the Christmas/New Year period)
