Ayers Rock Resort is searching for a Work Health Safety Officer to live and work onsite at Yulara, NT which is 20 min drive from Uluru, one of Australia's most iconic and culturally significant landmarks. Are you a detail-oriented and motivated individual with a passion for promoting workplace safety? located in Ayers Rock Resort, seeking a talented Work Health and Safety officer to join our dedicated team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Be the first point of contact for employees in the WHS office, offering excellent customer service
  • Assist injured workers with workers' compensation paperwork and claim lodgment, supporting them in obtaining necessary appointments
  • Manage First-Aid orders and supplies efficiently
  • Coordinate internal audit activities and inspection schedules for enhanced safety compliance
  • Update WHS noticeboards to keep the workforce informed
  • Assist in administrative functions related to Health and wellbeing, Workers' Compensation, and Work Health and Safety
  • Collaborate with the WHS Manager to conduct Risk Assessments, Safe Operating procedures, and maintain registers
  • Ensure accurate minutes are taken at all WHS and Workers Compensation meetings

Requirements:

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and various web-based management systems
  • Possession of a current unrestricted driver's license
  • Strong verbal communication skills in English
  • Effective time management and self-organizational skills
  • Full Australian Driver's License
  • A National Criminal History Check is a mandatory step in the recruitment process
