Job Description:

This role supports building and maintaining websites in WordPress and Drupal for commercial and federal contracts. As a LAMP web developer, you are a trusted technical adviser to our clients. You understand the complexity of their industries and have a passion for developing creative solutions to help them reach and influence their audiences.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and maintain websites and web applications using the LAMP stack, following the full software development lifecycle
  • Design, configure, test, implement, and support technical solutions that meet client and project requirements
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure quality, performance, and adherence to best practices
  • Work within digital experience’s agile frameworks and tools, including Jira and Confluence, to manage tasks and collaborate effectively
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including user experience, information architecture, and search engine optimization, to deliver cohesive digital products
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear, client-friendly language and documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Present and demo newly implemented features to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage multiple concurrent projects and priorities in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Contribute creative ideas and a fresh perspective to continuously improve products and processes

Requirements:

  • Active Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or similar web development field
  • Experience in creating and maintaining intermediate and advanced WooCommerce instances and integrations
  • 3+ years of experience working with PHP and customizing and extending both WordPress and Drupal, including hooks, filters, and content management system best practices
  • Fundamental front-end development experience using JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Knowledge of code-versioning tools such as Git

Nice to have:

  • Experience with commonly used plugins such as WordPress Advanced Custom Fields and Drupal Storybook
  • Experience configuring hosting platforms, domains, etc.
  • Strong understanding of object-oriented programming
  • Initiative, intellect, and reliability, plus strong stamina for learning new technology
  • Interest in exploring and applying AI tools and technologies to enhance development workflows and user experiences across web applications and CMS platforms
