From supporting grassroots projects to encouraging station adoption and promoting sustainable travel, you’ll be an advocate for the difference rail can make.
Job Responsibility:
Report to the Senior WCRP Officer, who will provide support and guidance while you deliver projects, events, and community activities across Worcestershire
Represent WCRP at events, meetings, and community activities
Engage children, young people, and communities to promote safe, inclusive rail travel
Support and help grow station adoption schemes
Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of projects, events, and workshops
Help secure funding, prepare reports, and monitor project progress
Promote community rail through social media, newsletters, and communications
Advocate for rail’s social, economic, and tourism benefits in the local community
Requirements:
Hold a DBS or willing to be DBS vetted
Interest in or experience of public transport
Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills
Ability to communicate with people from all walks of life, in both small and large public settings
Be customer and results orientated, with the ability to work under pressure
Ability to work on own initiative, and as part of a team
Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
Comfortable/capable of travelling and lone working at times
