Job Responsibility

Monitoring activity inside and outside of the facilities to include neighboring properties to help prevent injury to people and damage to property
Assisting in emergency situations, reporting on incidents and accidents to include downloading and saving any relevant camera footage, giving statements to emergency responders as needed
May occasionally be called on to work at other facilities and Mission events as needed
She will do random checks of the property and rooms, and assist shelter staff with dorm checks, deal with problem guests, and coordinate with senior staff to solve problems dealing with the safe and secure day-to-day operations
She will do random drive by checks on our admin facility and warehouse

Safely transport guests to appointments according to the building calendar and program schedule
Respond calmly and appropriately to emergencies, contacting police, fire, or medical assistance as necessary
Prepare clear and detailed Incident Reports documenting significant situations or guest behavior
Keep all Shelter areas clean, orderly, and free of hazards to maintain a safe environment
Communicate effectively with other staff members at shift changes and through daily staff emails
Assist in receiving donations, mail, and deliveries, following established building procedures
Provide gentle and firm accountability for guests’ household responsibilities, offering coaching as needed
