Job Description:

One Wales is an innovative service aimed at providing engagement, support and diversion for Women and Young Adults (18-25) from the criminal justice system including at first contact within police custody. The One Wales is a partnership between Nelson Trust, Media Academy Cymru, PACT, and BtheChange dedicated to reducing reoffending and diverting people into appropriate support at the earliest opportunity.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide holistic support and coordinated interventions for women at any point of the Criminal Justice System
  • Cover the Swansea area
  • Offer gender-responsive, trauma informed practical and emotional support and interventions to address needs with housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment
  • Aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential

Requirements:

  • Role restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional services
  • Ability to provide holistic support and coordinated interventions for women at any point of the Criminal Justice System
  • Ability to offer gender-responsive, trauma informed practical and emotional support and interventions
  • Ability to address needs with housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families and education, training and employment
