As our Women & Families Team Lead, you’ll play a vital role in shaping and guiding the women and families team at Gloucester Women’s Centre. You’ll lead a skilled, dedicated team supporting women and families experiencing multiple and complex needs, allowing them to reach their full potenital while minimising substance misuse and associated unmet needs. Job Responsibility:
Leading and supporting the women and families team
Nurturing a collaborative, learning-focused team culture centred on wellbeing and trust
Overseeing safe, effective day‑to‑day operations within the Women’s Centre
Providing guidance on assessments, support planning and risk management
Working closely with partners including Via, HMP Eastwood Park, Probation, Social Care, housing and health services
Ensuring services meet contract expectations, KPIs and quality standards
Using data to drive improvement and producing clear, accurate reports
Representing the service at multi‑agency forums and championing our women's centre model
Requirements:
Experience supporting women and/or families facing multiple and complex needs, including substance misuse
Experience supervising staff and assuring case management quality
Strong understanding of trauma‑informed, gender‑responsive, and whole‑family approaches
Skilled in multi‑agency collaboration
Confident working with KPIs, reporting and performance data
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
IT‑confident with strong record‑keeping abilities
Commitment to safeguarding, equality and reflective practice
Empathy, resilience and a genuine passion for empowering women and families
A full driving licence, access to a vehicle and willingness to travel
Nice to have:
Degree or professional qualification in a relevant field
Leadership qualification (or willingness to work towards one)
Experience managing contracts, budgets or commissioned services
Experience contributing to service development
Established partnerships with local organisations and stakeholders
