Job Description:

Located in Northwest Edmonton, you must have a car because the job is not available by public transit. Work hours: Morning: Evening: 3:30 -12:00. As an assembler/wiring technician, you will be responsible for assembling, fitting, and mounting electrical components as well as lifting of parts, power tool usage. You will also be required to test the prepared products and prepare them for final inspection. To be successful in this position, you will have a strong mechanical aptitude as well as above-average attention to detail. This location is a large manufacturing and distribution company with room for growth. This is a contract position with the opportunity to turn into a long term permanent position.

Job Responsibility:

Assemble products based on oral and/or written instructions (from computer program)
Follow established procedures
Perform routine maintenance on equipment
Maintain high quality standards by inspecting and testing products
Prepare finished products for shipment
Daily use of hand tools and measurement devices
Work in a diverse and busy team environment
Lift 35lbs repetitively at times
Work in a fast-paced manner using a proactive approach
Work in a warehouse setting picking and packing orders
Utilize reach trucks to move product through warehouse
Load and unload trucks
Comfortable with electrical diagrams/drawings

Requirements:

Previous work experience in an assembly or manufacturing environment
Hand tools experience
Ability to handle heavy lifting 50 lbs
Strong attention to detail
Own transportation (not transit accessible)
Safety boots
Autonomous and punctual
