Our client is expanding their network engineering capabilities and needs an onsite engineer with strong wireless expertise and deep experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE). This role supports a high‑availability, mission‑critical operational environment across a large industrial campus. The engineer will work closely with internal network teams to maintain wireless infrastructure, identity-based authentication, and secure access controls used by both IT and operational technology environments.
Job Responsibility:
Support and optimize enterprise‑scale Cisco wireless networks, including access points, controllers, and WLAN architecture
Serve as an onsite expert for Cisco ISE, including policy sets, 802.1X authentication, RADIUS/TACACS+, certificate‑based access, profiling, and NAC workflows
Conduct wireless performance tuning, troubleshooting, and RF analysis across challenging industrial environments
Implement and maintain secure network segmentation and identity-based access controls
Support Cisco switching environments (Catalyst platforms) as part of wireless integration and connectivity
Participate in upgrades, hardware lifecycle management, and environment modernization projects
Document configuration standards, performance metrics, diagrams, and runbooks for ongoing operations
Collaborate cross‑functionally with operations, plant leadership, safety teams, and engineering staff
Requirements:
6–15+ years of network engineering experience, with strong wireless specialization
Hands-on expertise with Cisco ISE, including: 802.1X, RADIUS/TACACS+, EAP‑TLS / certificate authentication, Profiling, posturing, and access policies, Policy sets and identity groups
Strong wireless engineering foundation with: Cisco WLC / Catalyst controllers, WLAN design and site surveys, Wireless performance optimization, Cisco or Meraki APs
