Job Description:

Ergo are seeking a Windows Server Automation Specialist for an immediate contract opportunity in Dublin. As an automation Subject Matter Expert (SME) you will drive operational efficiency across our server and infrastructure estate. This role will design, implement, and support automation solutions covering routine operational tasks, environment reporting, self-service capabilities, and centralised server management.

Job Responsibility:

  • Automate daily, weekly, and monthly operational tasks, including health checks, environment validation, and proactive alerts
  • Implement self-service capabilities for end users across common operational tasks
  • Automate and streamline HPE SPP updates and patching workflows across the environment
  • Build reporting pipelines by collecting and correlating data from HPE OneView, SCOM, and other monitoring sources
  • Maintain and enhance centralised management processes for Windows Server environments
  • Create and maintain runbooks, scripts, and orchestration workflows, leveraging tooling such as SCOM automation, PowerShell, and orchestration platforms
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of service reporting, operational dashboards, and proactive monitoring, aligned with weekly governance and reporting standards

Requirements:

  • Strong background in scripting and automation (PowerShell essential)
  • Experience with automation of Windows Server operations and infrastructure tasks
  • Familiarity with SCOM monitoring, management pack optimisation, alert tuning, and automated task execution
  • Experience ingesting, normalising, and reporting on data from HPE OneView, SCOM, and similar operational tools
  • Understanding of server lifecycle processes, patching frameworks, and HPE SPP update automation
  • Ability to produce and maintain documentation, runbooks, and operational workflows
