We are seeking a skilled and reliable Windmill Blade Operator to join our team. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the equipment used in the manufacturing process of wind turbine blades, ensuring the production of high-quality components for our wind energy projects.
Job Responsibility:
Safely operate and maintain various machinery and equipment involved in blade manufacturing, including: Blade molding machines
Vacuum bagging systems
Cutting and trimming equipment
Resin infusion systems
Monitor machine performance, identify any malfunctions or deviations, and troubleshoot problems effectively
Safely lift, move, and handle large and heavy wind turbine blades using appropriate equipment
Ensure proper storage and handling of blades to prevent damage
Visually inspect blades for any defects, imperfections, or inconsistencies
Perform quality checks throughout the manufacturing process to ensure adherence to specifications
Perform basic preventive maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and minor repairs
Report any significant maintenance issues to supervisors immediately
Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while operating machinery and handling materials
Contribute to a safe and clean work environment
Collaborate effectively with other team members on the blade manufacturing line
Contribute to a positive and productive work environment
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing setting, ideally with experience in operating large machinery or handling heavy equipment
Basic understanding of wind turbine blade construction and materials
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
Physical ability to lift, move, and handle heavy objects safely
Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions carefully
Nice to have:
Experience with specific types of blade molding machines or vacuum bagging systems
Knowledge of composite materials used in wind turbine blade manufacturing
Previous experience working in the wind energy sector
Certifications or training related to industrial safety and equipment operation
