Job Description:

The Windchill Development Technical Lead will lead a team in designing and developing customizations, performing upgrades, and creating tools for data migration in Windchill and ThingWorx environments. The role focuses on Java-based development and delivering robust solutions for Sopra Steria's clients.

Job Responsibility:

Lead the Windchill implementation team and analyze technical requirements for development and automation
Design, develop, and review high-quality code based on Sopra Steria guidelines
Customize and configure Windchill modules such as PDMLink, ProjectLink, MPMLink, PartsLink, SUMA, and SIM
Manage both client-side and server-side configurations
Handle business and system administration within the Windchill environment
Develop tools including macros, plugins, migration utilities, and performance optimizations
Perform code reviews and maintain code using version control tools like SVN
Provide end-user support, troubleshooting, and tool maintenance
Adhere to IT best practices in development, version control, incident, and change management
Create and maintain technical and testing documentation
Integrate and configure Windchill with ThingWorx
Experience in ThingWorx Navigate customization and app development

Requirements:

6–8 years of overall industry experience, primarily in PTC Windchill consulting
5+ years of hands-on experience in Windchill development (APIs, Info Engine, Task Manager, MVC components)
Strong programming skills in Core Java, JDBC, JSP, JavaScript, jQuery, Servlets, Web Services, Struts, JAXB, and XML
4+ years of experience with Oracle or MS SQL databases
BE/BTech or MCA from a reputed institution with strong academic performance

Nice to have:

Familiarity with engineering processes and terminology
