Wind Turbine Service Technician

• Responsible for the servicing and maintenance of Nordex wind turbines
• Responsible for Wind Turbine availability
• Physically troubleshooting turbines with low availability on site
• Analysing data and other information to create and support implementing action plans that will increase availability
• On site performance analysis and action plan implementation
• Working closely with Technicians and Back Office staff to perform on the job demonstrations
• Supporting on site single turbine improvements on problem turbines
• Providing on site software & hardware updates
• Supporting on-line and on phone technical support
• Creating reports on turbine or turbine components
• Parameter disabling and alarm change handling when necessary

• Experience of working in the Mechanical / Electrical industry
• Knowledge of reading electrical, hydraulic and mechanical diagrams
• Mechanical or Electrical trained through time-served or a technical college qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
• Ability to identify and define problems, extract crucial information from technical data, and develop workable solutions
• Ability to work in an environment of continuous change and different challenges
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn, lead, and improve
• Computer literate and confident in using MS office, in hour databased and workload management systems
• Fit and healthy and pass a working at height test
• Required to travel on a regular basis which includes nights away from home
• Full UK / EU Driving Licence
