Job Description:

As part of our growth we are looking for a Wind Turbine Aerodynamics and Computational Fluid Dynamics Intern (m/f/d) to support Blades Engineering tools department. You will be working within the Blades global team supporting the automation and execution of aerodynamic analyses of wind turbine airfoils using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).

Job Responsibility:

  • Mesh Generation: Creating structured, unstructured, and hybrid meshes tailored for aerodynamic simulations
  • Simulation Setup & Execution: Configure CFD simulations and run them on our High-Performance Computing (HPC) cluster
  • Post-Processing & Analysis: Extract and analyze simulation results to assess aerodynamic performance
  • Scripting & Automation: Develop Python and ANSYS scripts to automate the workflow, including meshing, simulation execution, and post-processing
  • Documentation: Clearly document all steps of the workflow, including meshing strategies, simulation setups, post-processing procedures, and automation tools

Requirements:

  • MSc Aerospace or Mechanical Engineer Degree
  • Additional Knowledge in aerodynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and Python
  • No previous working experience
  • Advance or Proficiency level in English

Nice to have:

  • Spanish or other language will be a plus
  • Desire to learn and commitment with the Internship
