Job Description:

Exciting entry-level position responsible for on-site operations, maintenance, repairs, and equipment replacement at EDPR's wind-energy sites. Conduct inspections, comply with safety regulations, and collaborate effectively to maximize wind farm performance.

Job Responsibility:

Ensure proper operation and maintenance of wind turbines and associated equipment
proactively look for improvement opportunities
identify gaps in safety standards and implement effective risk mitigation
demonstrate and promote integrity and teamwork
comply with environmental health and safety programs
work with EDPR's Remote Operations Control Center
complete training satisfactorily
participate in on-the-job training
document all work performed
adhere to internal controls
additional duties as required.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
technical school education preferred
strong mechanical background, specifically gearing-related
1 – 2 years relevant experience in wind energy or related industry (preferred)
understanding of Microsoft products and complementing products
experience with power plant operations and maintenance, wind plant operations and turbines, high voltage switching, and post-operational repair (preferred)
familiarity with maintenance and electronic testing equipment and heavy equipment required for facility maintenance (preferred)
proficient knowledge of SQL Server software, facility management, reporting systems, and computerized diagnostic and troubleshooting tools (preferred)
willingness and ability to pass a background investigation and drug test
valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.

Nice to have:

Experience in wind energy or related industry
experience with power plant operations and turbines, high voltage switching, and post-operational repair
familiarity with maintenance equipment and heavy equipment required for facility maintenance
proficient knowledge of SQL Server software, facility management, reporting systems.
