This position is Within the O&M Technical Support team. The Wind Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for leading the Advanced Maintenance Program and Technical Quality Program for Enel Green Power North America (EGPNA). This position reports to the Manager, Wind Technical Support.
Job Responsibility:
Manage the Advanced Maintenance Program at the EGPNA self-performing wind fleet under their responsibility
Technically lead the Preventative Maintenance Program of the EGPNA self-performing wind fleet
Provide technical support and training to site personnel on completing Preventative Maintenance and Advanced Schedule Maintenance activities
Provide directions to EGPNA self-performing sites on recommended maintenances based on equipment condition
Conduct reviews and audits on field inspection and maintenance checklists, utilizing the information from those inspection documents to recommend dynamic maintenance activities
Manage the Technical QAQC program for the EGPNA self-performing sites under their responsibility
Provide technical support and training for the interface application utilized for maintenance checklists
Review all submitted maintenance reports for completeness and to make technical expert recommendations on future maintenance practices
Create necessary work notifications based off the maintenance reports submitted by wind sites
Perform maintenance quality audits to the different EGPNA wind assets as part of the EGPNA Technical Quality Program
Monitor the implementation of new procedures, retrofits, execution of preventative maintenance, etc.
Evaluate improvement options from OEMs or ISPs
Review end of warranty reports for outstanding maintenance related issues
Review Enel Green Power maintenance manuals for completeness and provide corrections as needed
Create scopes of work as needed
Review components inspection reports and recommendations from third parties and ensure actions are taken based on that information
Support O&M actively during construction phase, hand-over to O&M and the wind farm warranty period
Assist in performing End of Warranty inspections
Build EoW reports to submit to OEM prior to the end of the warranty periods
Provide technical leadership to the O&M organization
Maintain required training certifications and qualifications
Requirements:
Associates degree in Wind Energy Technology or similar, plus 4 years of wind turbine experience
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Experience with data mining and data analytics
Good written and verbal communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills required
Strong computer skills with experience on the MS suite including Word, Excel and Power Point
Strong initiative and drive for high achievement and continuous improvement
Detail oriented
Able to interpret and write technical documentation
Up to 50% travel required (domestic and international)
Mental Functions: Ability to solve complex problems, Ability to make decisions based on limited information, Time management, communicating and interpersonal skills
Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of wind turbines technology, as well as in data and failure analysis
Physical Activities: Ability to work at height and climb EGPNA turbines (>300ft)
Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License
