Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Wills & Probate Legal Secretary to join our friendly and supportive team in our Heanor office. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised legal secretary who enjoys working in a client-focused environment and wants to be part of a well-established and welcoming team.

Job Responsibility

  • Providing secretarial support to fee earners within the Wills & Probate department
  • Audio typing and preparing legal documentation including wills, probate applications and LPAs
  • Opening and managing client files in line with compliance procedures
  • Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries and third parties
  • Preparing correspondence and legal documents
  • Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
  • Handling incoming calls and enquiries in a professional manner
  • Assisting with general administrative duties within the department

Requirements

  • Previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within Wills & Probate
  • Strong audio typing and document preparation skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and client care skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems
