We are currently seeking an experienced Wills & Probate Legal Secretary to join our friendly and supportive team in our Heanor office. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional and organised legal secretary who enjoys working in a client-focused environment and wants to be part of a well-established and welcoming team.
Job Responsibility:
Providing secretarial support to fee earners within the Wills & Probate department
Audio typing and preparing legal documentation including wills, probate applications and LPAs
Opening and managing client files in line with compliance procedures
Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries and third parties
Preparing correspondence and legal documents
Managing diaries, appointments and meetings
Handling incoming calls and enquiries in a professional manner
Assisting with general administrative duties within the department
Requirements:
Previous legal secretarial experience, ideally within Wills & Probate
Strong audio typing and document preparation skills
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Strong communication and client care skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
Ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
Confidence using Microsoft Office and case management systems
