Requirements

Degree in Forestry, Fire Science or significantly equivalent experience is required
Minimum of 5 years of experience that includes: harvest or fuels reduction supervision, contract administration, and general forestry and fire related work
Understanding of harvesting, fuels reduction and fire operations
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Proven to be a reliable self-starter with a strong work ethic and safety conscious
Possess a valid driver’s license and able to navigate remote areas

Job Responsibility

Development, implementation, maintenance and support of fuels reduction projects on Company lands
Relationship enhancement with local fire agency representatives
Support and coordination of Company on wildfire response, engagement and training
Administration contracts, including oversight of mechanical harvesting and fuels reduction contractors
Project area flagging and layout
Contractor development, scheduling and planning
Monitor quality control guidelines and ensure contract compliance
Collection, maintenance and reporting of production and cost data
Effectively and professionally interact with private contractors, company employees, federal, state and local agencies
Work in support of the Company’s goals and objectives
