Are you a passionate and experienced Work Health and Safety professional looking to make a significant impact? An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated WHS Advisor (ASO5) to join the State Government. In this role, you will drive our safety culture by providing expert advice, building strong stakeholder relationships, and managing risks. A key part of this position involves participating in critical emergency response operations, placing you at the heart of state safety initiatives.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide expert, practical WHS advice to ensure legislative compliance
  • Partner with workgroups to identify and mitigate safety risks
  • Manage the end-to-end incident reporting and investigation process
  • Contribute directly to WHS committees and continuous improvement projects
  • Participate in the department's emergency response team

Requirements:

  • 3+ years in a dedicated WHS role with deep knowledge of WHS legislation
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Nice to have:

  • A tertiary qualification in WHS
  • experience with psychosocial hazard management
  • skills in root cause analysis or internal auditing
