Job Description:

We are currently working with one of the largest brokers within the UK who are recruiting for a Wholesale Account Manager to join their team in Manchester. The ideal candidate will have experience handling the following lines of business: Commercial Combined, Combined Liability, Professional Indemnity, Contractors – All Risks. You will be managing a panel of Producing Brokers with main responsibility of building relationships and be the main contact for day to day queries.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure efficient and timely management of an existing portfolio of policies for producing brokers
  • Work closely with the Placement Team to secure terms for new inquiries and renewals that need to be rebrokered
  • Handle up to 30 renewals monthly
  • Maintain regular communication with UK Brokers
  • Discover opportunities for business growth and new inquiries
  • Verify the accuracy of documentation and establish client records
  • Apply knowledge of insurance principles and risk management to identify exposures and propose solutions
  • Address any queries related to coverage or accounting

Requirements:

  • Strong oral and written presentation skill
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Effective communication and independent work while managing priorities
  • Understanding of regulatory controls and proficiency with customised IT programs
  • Team collaboration, resource utilisation, and adherence to standards
  • Background in Commercial Combined/Combined Liability broking or underwriting
  • Prior experience in London Market placements or wholesale broking is highly beneficial
