Job Description

As an In-Store Advisor (ISA) you will be a member of our dedicated Whirlpool Program. You have a passion for customer service and thrive in being out in the field, building relationships with Trade Partner Retail Sales Associates (RSAs). You will accomplish this through effective selling, training, and merchandising of Whirlpool products.

Job Responsibility

  • Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a trusted subject matter expert to cultivate memorable, positive RSA & customer experiences in-store
  • Assisted Selling: Drive consumption by directly engaging with customers and supporting RSAs at high-priority retail locations
  • Product Training: Deliver product training to RSAs to empower their selling capabilities
  • B2B Platform Engagement: Increase RSA adoption of Whirlpool Central to ensure they are utilizing all available digital tools and resources
  • Showroom Merchandising: Maintain premium floor model standards by managing physical upkeep, ordering parts, and ensuring accurate POP placement
  • Market Intelligence: Capture and share actionable retail feedback and insights
  • Territory Management: Execute a disciplined coverage plan across the assigned territory to ensure consistent brand presence
  • Competitor Audits: Conduct floor and in-store competitor promotional audits to inform broader business strategies

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education, preferred
  • Experience working with major appliances and/or retail selling strongly preferred
  • Natural ability to quickly establish rapport with others and be the "Trusted Expert" on Whirlpool's Products and Services
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and stay organized
  • Ability to learn new computer applications
  • Flexibility to work all shifts as required, including evenings and weekends
  • Available to travel 40% of role
  • Possess a reliable automobile for driving, position requires overnight travel
  • Must have a valid driver's license

  • Ensure all who enter the ASC are approved applicants and visitors while providing both interior and exterior crowd control and assisting the staff in enforcing the rules and policies of the ASCs.

  • It is expected that providing applicants with the highest level of customer service is primary in all responsibilities. Further, personnel must safeguard all areas where Personal Identifiable Information (PII) is vulnerable such as applicant's paperwork and identifications, electronic biometric data and reports.
  • Perform quality biometrics processing to include capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures within established program-wide processing times.
  • Screen applicants entering the facility to ensure they have a valid appointment notice and identification allowing their entry into the ASC.
  • Utilize crowd control barriers (stanchions or rails) to ensure a safe and organized entry into the facility.
  • Visually inspect applicants and their belongings prior to allowing entry into the facility. During national pandemics or other health crisis, applicants may be asked questions about their status of illness and may be declined entry to the ASC per customer requirements.
  • Conducting periodic facility checks (both interior and exterior) reporting any concerns to the Site Supervisor to manage.
  • Assist the Site Supervisor and/or government Immigration Service Officer in calling local law enforcement or first responders when necessary.
