Job Description:

The “Project Order Manager” in Satara is responsible for overall accountability to plan, execute and finalize complex project orders for Welded Heat Exchangers (WHE) according to the deadline agreed while keeping the project within budget.

Job Responsibility:

  • Plan, execute and finalize complex project orders for Welded Heat Exchangers (WHE) according to the deadline agreed while keeping the project within budget
  • Manage project from receipt of order through final documentation to fulfill contract with customers
  • Responsible for leading the project team and ensuring the process flow and procedures are followed in accordance with Project Order Process
  • If required support Sales Companies, Bid team and customers in quotation/bid phase
  • Early involvement in projects from Bid Phase supporting Sales companies, Bid Managers and customers
  • Perform order clarification during sales/operations handover meeting
  • Manage planning. Monitoring and following up pre- and post- execution processes in WHE factory in Alfa Laval Satara
  • Conduct project meetings, set milestones and lead project members to meet the project schedule and keeping deadlines
  • Be accountable for delivery on time, specification, and budget for project orders (ETO)
  • Secure necessary deliverables and documentation to meet customer requirements
  • Have direct contact with customers when required
  • Drive or assist with continuous improvement activities for processes, procedures, and systems
  • Report state of projects, perform project closure and evaluation of projects
  • Work closely with sales companies to ensure project financial targets are met and identify opportunities to enhance profit on projects
  • Manage change orders and deviations where necessary (evaluation of risks) and communicate with concern stakeholders
  • Develop strong working relationships with Sales Companies
  • Secure projects are executed in compliance with Alfa Laval’s safety and quality requirements
  • Travel to resolve alignment issues with stakeholders and participate at kick-off meetings

Requirements:

  • BE or higher Technical education
  • 10+ years of experience in Project Management of complex projects
  • Technical project management experience
  • Used to work in ERP system environments e.g. Endeavor D365
  • English high level in speaking and writing
  • Handle customers and orders with high complexity
