The WHE Certification Official is responsible for administering, monitoring, and documenting Wheeled Handling Equipment (WHE) certification and qualification programs in accordance with U.S. Navy and Department of Defense safety and operational standards. Responsibilities include evaluating operator proficiency, verifying training requirements, and ensuring personnel are properly certified to operate assigned equipment. The Certification Official conducts practical and written assessments, reviews operator performance, and maintains accurate certification records and files. This role includes coordinating with supervisors, safety personnel, and training staff to ensure compliance with equipment‑specific and site‑specific certification requirements. Additional duties include tracking certification expirations, scheduling re‑certifications, supporting inspections and audits, and providing guidance on WHE safety and operational procedures. The WHE Certification Official supports safe, compliant, and mission‑ready equipment operations in a remote, mission‑driven environment.

Requirements
1–3 years of experience in equipment operation, training, certification, or safety compliance
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic knowledge of wheeled handling equipment operations and safety practices
Ability to evaluate operator performance and follow certification standards
Proficiency with recordkeeping, documentation, and basic computer applications
Must be in possession of a valid Passport and be able to travel internationally
Passport should be valid for a minimum of 1 plus years at the time of hiring
Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment
Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
Nice to have
Previous work experience in an austere OCONUS environment with a multi-national workforce
Excellent organizational, time management and customer service skills
Valid country driver's license
Country visa (as required in line with the U.S. Department of State Foreign Clearance Guide)
