As a Cover Supervisor in Cardiff, you’ll guide students, manage the classroom, and inspire learning – without the pressure of planning lessons or marking homework. It’s the perfect paid experience for aspiring teachers, PGCE students, or anyone ready for a meaningful career change.

Job Responsibility:

  • Step into the classroom with confidence, following prepared lesson plans when the teacher is away
  • Encourage participation and foster a positive, engaging learning environment
  • Support and inspire students to build confidence and achieve their potential
  • Create a safe, welcoming space where every student can thrive
  • Follow school policies and safeguarding procedures to keep everyone safe
  • Provide constructive feedback to teachers on lessons and student progress
  • Adapt easily to different classrooms, subjects, and age groups as required

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people (education, coaching, mentoring, or similar)
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills
  • A proactive and flexible approach to working in different school environments
  • Ability to engage and motivate students
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Registration with the EWC (or willingness to register)
