Job Description:

Reporting to the Field Superintendent, the Wellsite Supervisor (WSS) is the key client company representative at the well site to ensure the operations are performed as per the approved Operations Program, liaising with the PIC.

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure operations are performed per approved Operations Program
  • Liaise with the PIC
  • Verify rig position and lease layout
  • Conduct Pre-Spud meeting
  • Ensure operations in accordance with safety documents
  • Test and verify barriers
  • Oversee contractor equipment and services
  • Monitor hole fill volumes
  • Conduct pressure tests
  • Execute formation integrity tests
  • Calculate cement and displacement volumes
  • Monitor drilling and completion fluids
  • Oversee logging operations
  • Ensure depth control
  • Manage fluid displacement
  • Oversee casing and completion operations
  • Ensure facilities interface compliance
  • Manage well abandonment or suspension
  • Complete well handover documents
  • Conduct well control tests
  • Ensure crew competency
  • Follow communication protocols
  • Document well status

Requirements:

  • Reporting to the Field Superintendent, the Wellsite Supervisor is the key client company representative at the well site to ensure operations are performed as per approved Operations Program
  • Verify rig position/lease layout is as per Well Program
  • Conduct Pre-Spud meeting and/or readiness to operate review before spudding well
  • Ensure operations conducted in accordance with Santos SMS and D&C EHS Bridging Document
  • Ensure barriers are in place and tested per TS5 Barrier
  • Ensure equipment and services are fit for service and as per contract
  • Ensure third party lifting equipment has certification
  • Verify hole fill volume and hole conditions
  • Conduct pressure testing and recording per Well Program
  • Execute and document formation integrity tests or leak off tests
  • Calculate cement and displacement volumes
  • Ensure drilling and completion fluid properties are per Well Program
  • Oversee logging operations including checking weak-point tension limit
  • Ensure depth control during drilling, logging, slickline work
  • Ensure proper fluid displacement
  • Ensure proper landing of casing, tubing and completion operations
  • Ensure operations per facilities interface plan
  • Ensure proper abandonment or suspension of wells
  • Complete well handover documents
  • Conduct well control tests per Well Program and Bridging Document
  • Ensure crew competency
  • Follow communications and authority handover protocols
  • Record well status at beginning and end of operations
