Job Description:

The wellness program manager is an excellent opportunity to partner with multiple Aetna business units, the plan sponsor and vendors to design wellness program initiatives that promote preventive health, improve employee engagement in healthy lifestyle and behavior changes to address prevalent health risk factors. This position is client-based working alongside plan sponsor's Benefit and Employee Wellness department with primary work location based in Miami and with periodic travel throughout the plan sponsor's worksites.

Job Responsibility:

Partner with multiple Aetna business units, the plan sponsor and vendors to design wellness program initiatives
Join the plan sponsor's wellbeing team in designing, facilitating and evaluating effectiveness of wellbeing programs
Lead planning and implementation of onsite biometric screenings
Establish rapport with plan sponsors, engage leaders in data driven decision making regarding support for employee wellness
Support wellbeing champion network including different levels of employer leadership and employees from worksite
Recommend appropriate combination of wellbeing activities including coordination of wellbeing and community programs
Regularly analyze and present health assessment data, organizational assessment, claim utilization data, employee survey data
Utilize preventive guidelines and general health and wellbeing strategies to achieve goals in overall health of customers
Conduct research on relevant topics in health promotion and disease prevention
Educate and refer customers on available health resources, Aetna Care Management programs and community resources
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams such as nutritionist, pharmacist, behavioral clinician, health educators
Serve as subject matter expert on wellbeing and health improvement opportunities
Lead in-person or virtual presentations to promote health education and wellbeing initiatives
Travel to multiple plan sponsor locations for onsite events and presentations

Requirements:

2-3 years of experience encouraging healthy lifestyle behavior changes in wellness areas including nutrition, physical activity, weight management, stress management, tobacco cessation
2-3 years of experience creating and developing workplace wellbeing programs
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, et al.)
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Willing to seek and maintain wellness-based certifications, such as those provided by Wellness Alliance, Chapman Institute or other health and wellness certified organizations
Must live in Miami or within commutable distance to customer work site locations
Must have reliable transportation
Must have the ability to travel up to 35% of the time
Bachelor's degree
Master's degree in Public Health or equivalent work experience

Nice to have:

2+ years of experience working with group medical insurance products and coverage options
Certified Wellness Practitioner or equivalent credentials
