Rewarding opportunity to lead wellness and population health strategy development and execution for an innovative Aetna plan sponsor. The Manager, Wellness will partner with multiple Aetna business units, the plan sponsor and their consultants to design data-driven initiatives that promote preventive health, improve employee engagement in healthy lifestyle and behavior changes to address prevalent health risk factors.
Job Responsibility:
Lead wellness and population health strategy development and execution for Aetna plan sponsor
Partner with multiple Aetna business units, the plan sponsor and their consultants to design data-driven initiatives
Design, facilitate and evaluate effectiveness of wellbeing programs
Lead planning and implementation of onsite biometric screenings
Provide personalized guidance to employees on healthy lifestyle choices
Establishing rapport with plan sponsors and engaging leaders in data driven decision making
Supporting wellbeing champion network
Regularly analyze and present health assessment data, organizational assessment, claim utilization data
Conduct research on relevant topics in health promotion and disease prevention
Educate and refer customers on available health resources
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
Serve as subject matter expert on wellbeing and health improvement opportunities
Lead in-person or virtual presentations to promote health education
Requirements:
2-3 years of experience in employee wellness or health promotion including encouraging healthy lifestyle behavior change coaching (nutrition, fitness, weight management, stress management, tobacco cessation)
2-3 years of experience creating and developing workplace wellbeing programs
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite (Teams, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, OneNote, et al.)
Advanced verbal and written communication skills
Willing to seek and maintain wellness-based certifications, such as those provided by Wellness Alliance, Chapman Institute or other health and wellness certified organizations
Must live in Hickory or Central North Carolina
Must possess a valid and current driver's license
Must have the ability to travel up to 35% of the time
Bachelor's Degree
Nice to have:
2+ years of experience working with group medical insurance products and coverage options
Certified Wellness Practitioner or equivalent credentials
Master's degree in Public Health or equivalent work experience
