Wellness Coordinator

Job Responsibility

  • Handle the upkeep of amenities and cleanness of our fitness center as main task
  • Support the recreation team with wellness activities (football, volleyball, running, also playing with bigger kids/teenagers at outdoor areas)
  • Provide guests with water and oshibori service, spritzing, towels and assistance with seating arrangements at the beach
  • Responsible for greeting guests upon arrival and providing information regarding CHW services including memberships
  • Possess a high level of attention to detail in order to maintain a meticulously clean and tidy fitness facility
  • Ensure the daily cleanliness of the fitness center, locker areas, indoor pool, KFAS/TFAS
  • Report equipment malfunctions promptly and accurately and handle lost and found items
  • Ensure safety procedures are followed and notify Security of any incident or injury
  • Book guest reservations in a proficient and timely manner
  • Ensure all Fitness appointments conducted are checked in or communicate with provider
  • Ability to provide the proper and safe operation and care of all health club equipment
  • Provide safe, supportive spaces to explore clients' goals and intentions
  • Develop nutritional / fitness classes and provide some exercises regime for different guest needs either private or group
  • Perform fitness classes indoor or outdoor which can be chargeable and complimentary
  • Assess body evaluations
  • BMI, fat percentage, mass percentage, and administer questionnaires
  • Conduct wellness assessments for diverse populations including
  • BMI, strength and cardiovascular fitness
  • Takes ownership on managing the fitness area
  • Provide a trendy fitness technology to even elevate guests' fitness journey
  • Create a fitness program in collaboration with nutrition and spa treatments
  • Produce PowerPoint presentations to aide in Spa team fitness knowledge
  • Deliver PowerPoint presentations sharing health and wellness information with diverse audiences
  • Meet with guest individually or in group settings to discuss and set achievable short- and long-term goals regarding their fitness/health levels
  • Empower guests to take their health into their own hands
  • Assist guests to understand their motivations and create behavior change
  • Support guests in developing sustainable meals, exercise, or other wellness plans tailored to their goals
  • Encourage mindfulness in all aspects of their guests' lives
  • Work with guests to determine their problem areas, identify obstacles, and create a plan to achieve their health and wellness goals
  • Keep guests motivated and on-track to overcome challenges
  • Be mindful of health issues or prior injuries when developing plans
  • Work closely with the Spa management for planning, organizing, creating Wellness/Fitness ideas
  • Assists the Department Head in motivating and developing a skilled team
  • Ensures the department is kept in an organized manner in accordance with company philosophy and policies
  • Displays warmth, care and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers

  • Effectively integrate the Fitness and Spa with the Hotel operations wherever possible
  • Assist the Spa Management and the Director of PR in promoting the fitness classes and programs
  • Interact with guests, providing full knowledge and assistance for maximum guest usage in a friendly but unobtrusive manner
  • Introduce new and innovative fitness classes and technology in order to continually enhance and develop the fitness activities
  • Assist in any area of the spa as may be required due to operational needs
  • Maintains an organized administration of departmental and personnel records
  • Ensures employees adhere to the code of conduct and grooming & hygiene standards as specified in the employee handbook
  • Conducts monthly Fitness presentation to the team
  • Assists employees in crunch times and when Fitness gym is not busy or not utilized
  • Proposes personal goals and objectives based on self-analysis of strengths and weaknesses
  • Exercises effective glitch resolution skills
  • Monitors complimentary beverages and ensure that all is ordered via requisition
  • Monthly inventory for fitness accessories and loan items
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work area and ensures tools & equipment are well maintained and in sufficient supply
  • Oversee daily guest reservations, using yield management to maximize departmental profitability
  • Performs daily walkthroughs of the Fitness gym and potential areas for fitness classes to ensure seamless operation and optimal guest experience
  • Promotes and ensures a safe working environment
  • Performs any additional duties as assigned
  • Responsible for the fitness gym administration of goods, requisitions, inventories, storage and cost-effective usage of all department related materials and assets
  • Oversee the cleanliness of all areas in the Fitness Gym and coordinate special requirements with Housekeeping, Laundry, and Engineering
  • Must be able to utilize all computer systems relevant to the departments
  • Make recommendations regarding the annual operating budget, capital investment budget, operating planning and further periodic evaluations of financial performance
  • Be cross-trained in all functions of the spa and assist in times of need
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by hotel management and staff

Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent experience
  • Experience required by position is from two to four years of employment in the related position with Four Seasons or other organization
