Job Responsibility

  • Organise and facilitate engaging activities for residents
  • Create person-centred programmes that bring joy and purpose
  • Set up and arrange spaces for activities in a safe manner
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents and the local community
  • Maintain records of engagement and activity participation
  • Promote and practise the ethos of person-centred care

Requirements

  • FETAC/QQI Level 5 in Healthcare or a related field
  • Additional training in Care of the Older Person, Dementia Care, or Palliative Care is a plus (or willingness to complete)
  • Valid certifications: CPR, Infection Control, Manual Handling, and Safeguarding (training available if needed)
  • Experience working in elderly care within a residential setting
  • Full Irish Driver’s Licence required

Nice to have

Special skills in gardening, knitting, cooking, music, arts and crafts are an advantage

  • Act as the first point of contact for maintenance issues across the estate, assessing requests and coordinating resolutions
  • Track reactive and planned maintenance, ensuring completion to required standards and SLAs
  • Support statutory compliance by maintaining accurate records (fire safety, electrical testing, water hygiene)
  • Maintain asset, warranty and service documentation
  • Carry out regular site checks (virtual or on-site) to identify issues early and support preventative maintenance
  • Assist with shop fit-outs (new & existing), refurbishments and small works, including scheduling, documentation and supplier coordination
  • Prepare project packs, monitor progress, and keep stakeholders updated
