Job Description

Responsible for providing support to students, teachers, and parents to ensure an emotionally and socially healthy student body in cooperation with administration and other staff.

Job Responsibility

  • Meeting with new students and monitoring their adjustment
  • Meeting one on one with students who are struggling and providing small group counselling
  • Connecting with teachers, principals and parents to identity student needs, issues and problems, and providing suggestions
  • Collaborates with other staff to support the parent community
  • Assists the Student Services team
  • Participates in professional development
  • Carries out other duties and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Has a Bachelor Degree in counseling or counseling certificate
  • Has the sensitivity to multicultural perspectives
  • Demonstrates ability to plan, organize, execute and evaluate in the office and classroom setting

  • provide guidance regarding EAP protocols to counselors working with employees
  • Complete daily shifts on an incoming queue and meet speed to answer service level agreement requirements
  • Provide follow-up to monitor employee compliance and feedback to supervisors, HR/Managers
  • Confirm that necessary paperwork is in place to both providers, HR/Managers including signed releases in order to coordinate follow-up with treatment providers, and other necessary HR/Managers
