We have an exciting opportunity for a Wellbeing Coordinator to provide intensive housing management and wellbeing services to tenants living in Saffron communities. To work as part of a collaborative and professional team of wellbeing coordinators delivering high quality customer services.
Job Responsibility:
Carry out the sign-up process and post-allocation activities to enable tenants to be settled within their new home, providing advice and assistance where necessary and to undertake the required follow up tenancy visits
Encourage and empower tenants to maintain independence and maximise customer involvement and ensure tenants know how to use any equipment that is provided
Undertake, monitor and maintain fire safety checks and health and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with Saffron's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
To collaborate with other organisations to meet the well-being needs of the tenants
Requirements:
Good level of general education to NVQ level 3, or 3 GCSE's grade C or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics
Full driving license (use of own transport)
An understanding of the needs of older people, including an understanding of the physical and social requirements of the elderly is essential
To have experience of delivering well-being services
Ability to accurately record all occurrences, incidents etc.
An ability to recognise various types of support needs and how they can be addressed
Experience of working independently and on own initiative and decision making is essential
Ability to use IT effectively, with proficient keyboard skills and a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office which must include MS Word, Excel and Outlook or willingness to learn
Good interpersonal skills – an understanding of the skills required to work in partnership with other agencies and service providers. Tact, diplomacy, integrity, discretion and empathy is essential
Understanding of the need for quality service delivery and how to meet the needs identified
Ability to remain calm in challenging situations
A high level of respect for confidentiality, diversity and a knowledge of related legislation – including GDPR is needed
Understanding Safeguarding how to recognise the signs and understand the reporting process
Ability to organise work to achieve high performance and the delivery of other management functions and possess excellent administration skills
Ability to use initiative and assess complex situations
To maintain a positive and flexible approach in relation to all aspects of customer care and service delivery. To have an ability to adapt to change and undertake self-development & training
To be able to work to agreed deadlines and prioritise own workload
To be able to communicate clearly with various audiences both in writing and verbally
