Job Description

Come and join our amazing team at Holly Lodge! Are you friendly, compassionate and creative? As a Wellbeing Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in the lives of our residents, helping to make every day meaningful and joyful. Ideally, we are looking for someone to have care experience, but we know people from other walks of life can become the very best in this type of role - so whether you’ve done this before or are just starting out, we’ll be with you every step of the way with all the training and support you need.

Job Responsibility

  • Get to know each resident personally, building their life stories into meaningful activities
  • Plan and deliver a fun and varied calendar of group activities, one-to-one moments and special events
  • Motivate and encourage residents to join in with activities that enhance social, emotional and physical wellbeing
  • Support residents to maintain strong connections with family, friends and the local community
  • Take photos of events for newsletters and social media

Requirements

  • Good English and numeracy skills
  • Passion for caring and helping residents to thrive
  • Care experience (ideally, but not required)
  • Friendly, compassionate and creative personality

  • Develop, manage and coordinate a regular, varied calendar of group activities, in collaboration with the Residents, that are person-centred and meaningful to help maintain hobbies and interests and meet holistic needs
  • Plan individualised 1:1 Sessions for Residents as appropriate and engage with ongoing life story work to help inform the activity programme and person-centred care planning
  • Manage the activity budget in conjunction with the Home Manager to ensure the provision of resources, outings and entertainment and undertake fundraising opportunities to supplement as appropriate
  • Maximise the use of resources that are available to support with provision of meaningful engagement opportunities
  • Ensure risk assessments are completed for all activities and outings and reviewed as appropriate
  • Act as a Dementia Ambassador at your Location
  • Support all Colleagues to become Dementia Friends
  • Offer Signposting to family members to Admiral Nurse services, Local carer groups, tide, Alzheimer’s Society etc

  • Good level of general education to NVQ level 3, or 3 GCSE's grade C or higher, or equivalent, to include English Language and Mathematics

  • Carry out the sign-up process and post-allocation activities to enable tenants to be settled within their new home, providing advice and assistance where necessary and to undertake the required follow up tenancy visits
  • Undertake, monitor and maintain fire safety checks and health and safety inspections, ensuring compliance with Saffron's Health and Safety Policy and Procedures
  • To collaborate with other organisations to meet the well-being needs of the tenants
  • Encourage and empower tenants to maintain independence and maximise customer involvement and ensure tenants know how to use any equipment that is provided
