Wellbeing and Safeguarding Adviser (Care experiences and vulnerable groups)– 0.88 FTE. Are you an experienced student support practitioner with a strong drive to make a difference? We require a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our established team of Wellbeing and Safeguarding Advisers. You will have the passion to inspire every student to reach their full potential regardless of their starting point. You will provide high-quality wellbeing, pastoral and safeguarding support to students throughout their journey, from pre-enrolment to exit. This role has a specialist focus on supporting care experienced students and other vulnerable groups, including those from armed forces families and students with caring responsibilities. The postholder will contribute directly to the College’s Inclusion Strategy by ensuring these learners receive consistent, targeted and trauma-informed support and ensuring that all support aligns with relevant Safeguarding policies and legislation. You will provide effective and high-quality Safeguarding and Wellbeing support in accordance with the College’s safeguarding responsibilities. You will work alongside curriculum staff and the wider Progress Team to provide effective strategies which meet the needs of individual students by removing barriers to learning. You will pro-actively promote the safety and wellbeing of students throughout the college. You will have a specific case load of students whilst being on hand to deal with any Safeguarding and Wellbeing issues which may arise on a daily basis.

Requirements:
Level 3 qualification in safeguarding or wellbeing or equivalent
Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
Experience in student support and safeguarding within education
Proven track record of safeguarding or wellbeing support in an educational setting
Understanding of issues facing young people with barriers to learning
