To be responsible, together with the Centre Manager, for the welfare of all students, group leaders, and staff at your centre.

  • Safeguarding Lead: Take a leading role in putting BSS’s safeguarding and child protection policies into practice
  • Acting as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL) at the centre
  • Provide cover for the Centre Manager when required
  • Full training will be provided during induction
  • Ensure the effective delivery of BSS’s Welfare Policy
  • Provide exceptional welfare and pastoral support
  • Oversee and manage the concerns and conduct logs on the database
  • Lead, support and motivate your pastoral team
  • Oversee the smooth running of each Boarding House
  • Allocate students to Houses and rooms on the database
  • Work closely with the welfare team to maintain an excellent standard of medical care
  • Dispense prescribed and over the counter medication in line with BSS policies
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies
  • Monitor student feedback weekly
  • Welcome and support international Group Leaders upon arrival
  • Respond swiftly and appropriately to any incidents or emergencies that occur during the night
  • To undertake student transfers courteously and efficiently
  • Delegate a member of staff to be responsible for capturing high-quality footage
  • To help ensure that the centre is set up effectively and packed away
  • All employees undergo an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
  • Full employment reference checks are conducted prior to commencement of employment
