Job Description

Xpert Resourcing are currently recruiting for an experienced and hands-on Welding Supervisor / Team Leader for a busy, well-established business based in Mildenhall who are looking to add a new member to the team on a permanent basis.

Job Responsibility

  • Supervising and coordinating daily welding and fabrication activities
  • Leading, motivating and supporting a team of welders and fabricators
  • Ensuring all work is completed to required quality standards and deadlines
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Inspecting completed work and ensuring compliance with welding standards
  • Problem solving and implementing effective solutions on the shop floor
  • Assisting with training and development of team members
  • Maintaining tools, equipment and work areas to a professional standard
  • Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Liaising with management and other departments as required

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Welder/Fabricator with supervisory or team leader experience
  • Strong knowledge MIG welding techniques
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Good leadership and communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Good understanding of health and safety regulations
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
