Job Description

Explore this job opportunity as a Welding QC Inspector for a Multipurpose DP3 vessel operating Worldwide (currently in Romania). Employment will be with our client, a drilling and construction contractor. Project: Multipurpose DP3 vessel. Location: Worldwide (currently in Romania). Duration: 12 months (renewable). Rotation: 90/30 days on/off or 56/28 days on/off. Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid only while working. Start date: ASAP (Approximately June 2026). Insurance: Provided by the company. Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform inspections and monitor all welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (such as ASME, AWS, ISO)
  • Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications
  • Conduct visual inspections of welds, as well as non-destructive testing (NDT) surveillance, and ensure weld quality and workmanship meet acceptance criteria
  • Monitor pre-welding, welding, and post-welding operations including fit-up, alignment, heat input, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment
  • Identify and report non-conformities and assist in the development of corrective action plans
  • Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, welding logs, and reports
  • Coordinate with the construction team, welding supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues related to welding
  • Ensure that welding equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
  • Participate in internal and external audits related to welding quality
  • Ensure that all safety practices are strictly followed during welding operations

Requirements

  • Certified Welding CSWIP 3.1
  • Minimum of 3 years of offshore pipeline experience or hook-up
  • At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Fluent in English
  • Willingness to work internationally and travel frequently
  • Strong knowledge of coating application procedures, inspection techniques, and international standards
  • Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
