Explore this job opportunity as a Welding QC Inspector for a Multipurpose DP3 vessel operating Worldwide (currently in Romania). Employment will be with our client, a drilling and construction contractor. Project: Multipurpose DP3 vessel. Location: Worldwide (currently in Romania). Duration: 12 months (renewable). Rotation: 90/30 days on/off or 56/28 days on/off. Salary: Please state your realistic expectations when applying. This will be discussed with the right candidate. Consolidated monthly paid only while working. Start date: ASAP (Approximately June 2026). Insurance: Provided by the company. Employer: Our client, a drilling and construction contractor.
Job Responsibility
Perform inspections and monitor all welding activities to ensure compliance with project specifications, codes, and standards (such as ASME, AWS, ISO)
Review and verify welding procedures, welder qualifications, and material certifications
Conduct visual inspections of welds, as well as non-destructive testing (NDT) surveillance, and ensure weld quality and workmanship meet acceptance criteria
Monitor pre-welding, welding, and post-welding operations including fit-up, alignment, heat input, interpass temperature, and post-weld heat treatment
Identify and report non-conformities and assist in the development of corrective action plans
Maintain accurate and detailed inspection records, welding logs, and reports
Coordinate with the construction team, welding supervisors, and subcontractors to resolve technical issues related to welding
Ensure that welding equipment is properly maintained and calibrated
Participate in internal and external audits related to welding quality
Ensure that all safety practices are strictly followed during welding operations
Requirements
Certified Welding CSWIP 3.1
Minimum of 3 years of offshore pipeline experience or hook-up
At least 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry
Fluent in English
Willingness to work internationally and travel frequently
Strong knowledge of coating application procedures, inspection techniques, and international standards
Ability to work independently with strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality
