Minimum 10 years of experience in Welding QC on major Oil & Gas EPC projects
Strong experience with piping, pressure vessels, and valves welding
Experience on CPF, refinery, or large industrial facilities strongly preferred
Solid knowledge of welding processes, metallurgy, and fabrication techniques
Strong understanding of ASME IX, ASME B31.3, API standards
Ability to interpret isometrics, welding drawings, WPS/PQR/WPQ documentation
Knowledge of weld repair techniques and metallurgical constraints
Understanding of NCR, deviation, and concession processes
Familiarity with digital QC systems (Aconex, SharePoint, SmartPlant, etc.) is a plus

Job Responsibility

Monitor and record all welding activities on a daily basis
Conduct routine inspections in fabrication areas, pipe racks, vessel installation zones, and field welding locations
Verify that welding activities follow approved procedures and are performed by qualified welders
Verify the contractor’s daily welding reports and associated databases
Review weekly trends of weld acceptance/rejection
Provide daily updates and weekly reporting directly to the CPF2 Site QC Superintendent
Contribute actively to daily/weekly QC coordination meetings
Maintain up-to-date records, ITP follow-up, NCR/CAR tracking, and Mechanical Completion documentation
Verify material identification, traceability, joint preparation, bevels, fit-up, alignment, and cleanliness before welding
Ensure compliance with approved WPS, PQR, and welder qualifications (WPQ)
