Job Responsibility:

  • Assisting experienced welders and fabricators in the production of steel reinforcement and components used in precast concrete products
  • Learning a variety of welding techniques and fabrication skills
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
  • Preparing materials for welding and fabrication
  • Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring safe working practices
  • Supporting the team to meet production targets while maintaining quality standards

Requirements:

  • A strong interest in welding, fabrication, or engineering trades
  • Willingness to learn and develop practical skills
  • Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in Maths and English are desirable
  • Commitment to completing a welding apprenticeship programme
