Welder or fitter – pressure vessels

• For Fitters: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, including centerlines, orientation callouts, elevations, and offsets to ensure precision for pressure-vessel components
• For Fitters: Execute the layout and fitting of complex multi-component assemblies, ensuring correct root gaps, bevels, and nozzle orientations prior to welding
• For Fitters: Take ownership of the complete fit-up scope, including the safe rigging and handling of heavy shells and large-diameter vessels
• For Welders: Perform high-quality MIG welding on industrial vessels and specialized piping systems
• For Welders: Produce welds qualified for spot and full X-ray testing
• For Welders: Maintain consistent bead profile and fusion on fillet and butt welds, ensuring minimal leakage and excellent overall weld appearance

• For Welders: Provide a minimum of three years of professional welding experience in a custom fabrication environment
• For Fitters: Provide a minimum of three years of experience in a primarily fitting role (fitting 60% of the time or more, welding 40% or less) in a custom environment
• Demonstrate proficiency in reading complex blueprints and identifying standard welding symbols
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent technical post-secondary education
• Hold CWB or TSSA tickets, which are considered a significant asset for this role
