Job Responsibility

Perform high-volume MIG welding on various custom steel structures and product lines
Execute fitting tasks with the potential to transition into a lead fitting role
Operate overhead cranes to move heavy fabrications and materials throughout the Ancaster facility

Requirements

A minimum of five (5) years of practical fitting experience in a heavy industrial setting is required for this role as a Fitter-Welder
Experience with heavy-duty equipment and materials, ideally from sectors like mining or off-road machinery, is highly valued

Job Responsibility

Demonstrate mandatory proficiency in reading complex engineering blueprints and accurately interpreting all associated weld symbols and trade math
Operate overhead cranes and other lifting equipment to safely move and position heavy parts and assemblies, with refresher training provided if needed
Prioritize and maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, recognizing reliability as a key component of success in this Fitter-Welder role
