Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to join our team at Cornerstones Palmarium. At Cornerstones, we provide Supported Living support to individuals with learning disabilities, ASD and who may present behaviours that challenge. Support is focussed around developing and maintaining daily living skills, and support to ensure they engage with the local and wider community. We ensure that support is provided to individuals in the most person-centred way possible, ensuring they are treated with dignity and respect and have meaningful choice and control in their lives every day. We support adults with learning disabilities, mental health diagnoses, acquired brain injuries, and autistic people, with services across England and Wales.

Job Responsibility

  • You will work with young adults who have complex needs
  • You will build positive relationships with people by listening, discussing, and then planning goals and ambitions together
  • You will help to plan their daily tasks and assist with practical activities such as cooking, cleaning and running errands
  • You will assist with personal care, which may include support with eating and administering medication
  • You will help to plan and participate in any exciting days out they wish to enjoy
  • You will make a positive impact on someone's life by supporting them to become more independent wherever possible
