Job Description:

Our non-profit is seeking a Weekend Only Office Assistant, Saturdays and Sundays, 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., on a contract-to-permanent basis, to help foster a welcoming, clean, and safe environment for all members and visitors. This position plays a vital role in supporting operations, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the building is monitored during weekend hours.

Job Responsibility:

  • Greet members, visitors, and guests as they arrive, creating a friendly and welcoming atmosphere
  • Answer basic inquiries in person and over the phone
  • direct individuals to appropriate staff or resources
  • Perform regular light cleaning duties including tidying up entryways, counters, communal spaces, and taking trash out
  • Monitor building activity, ensuring safety and security protocols are followed at all times
  • Notify maintenance or leadership of any facility concerns or urgent cleaning needs
  • Support event or service setup and cleanup as required
  • Other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the building during weekend hours.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working in an office, customer service, or hospitality setting preferred
  • Friendly, positive attitude with excellent verbal communication skills
  • Ability to perform light cleaning and routine inspections throughout the building
  • Dependable and punctual for weekend shifts
  • Commitment to the mission and values of the organization
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
