Job Description:

Our client, a well-established wood manufacturing plant that produces high-quality products for industrial, residential, and commercial construction is looking for an experienced Millwright to join their weekday maintenance teams! If you’re a skilled millwright looking for a stable and consistent in-city role, this is the perfect role for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs to ensure equipment operates efficiently
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and technical issues to minimize production downtime
  • Conduct mechanical rounds to identify wear or damage and implement timely solutions
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures, fostering a safe work environment
  • Collaborate with the maintenance team and supervisors to prioritize and complete tasks effectively
  • Support major equipment upgrades or installations, ensuring adherence to facility standards

Requirements:

  • 4th year apprentice or Journeyperson Millwright ticket
  • 2–3 years in maintenance or a related field
  • Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience in repairs, PMs, and rebuilds (no electrical skills required)
  • A track record of promoting and enforcing health and safety protocols
