Weekend Millwright – $46/hr – SE Calgary, AB. Are you a certified Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright with hands-on mechanical experience in food, beverage, or high-speed packaging environments? Do you possess strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for preventative and predictive machinery upkeep? Environment: Unionized. Industry: Industrial Manufacturing. Location: SE Calgary, AB. Schedule: 3x12 Friday through Sunday, 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Compensation: $46.00 per hour.

Job Responsibility

  • Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, rebuilds, and repairs on a range of industrial equipment, including Conveyors, gearboxes, valves, VFDs, and chain drives
  • Hydraulics and pneumatics systems
  • Pumps, small motors (under 450 HP), simple boilers and heaters
  • Basic pressurized piping and light welding
  • Conduct preventative maintenance, lubrication, and equipment inspections
  • Support upgrade projects and respond to critical equipment failures
  • Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to ensure uptime and reliability

Requirements

  • Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright certification
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on maintenance experience in an industrial Food & Beverage, Pharma, or Packaging setting
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • A positive, team-oriented attitude and commitment to safety
