Job Description:

Laundry Assistant role at Advinia Healthcare, focusing on providing high quality, person-centred care for older people. The role involves processing laundry, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring health and safety standards.

Job Responsibility:

  • Sort washing into relevant groups and process it through the washer, drier and iron
  • Keep clean and dirty linen separate within the laundry area
  • Return the Care Home's washing to the linen cupboard, dining room and the kitchen
  • Perform minor repairs to the Service users’ clothing
  • Name and place any unmarked clothes in the appropriate boxes after laundering
  • Ensure the laundry room is clean and tidy
  • Use appropriate protective clothing when dealing with soiled/infected linen
  • Ensure statutory Health & Safety standards in the laundry area
  • Report immediately any illness of an infectious nature or accident
