Job Description

IKEA Exeter are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and friendly team. If you are looking for a long-term career in food and hospitality, and the opportunity to work somewhere inclusive - we want to hear from you! We have 12-hour contracts working in our Customer Restaurant, Kitchen Production and Swedish Food Market/Bistro areas. These are permanent, year-round contracts in a close-knit and motivated team.

Job Responsibility

  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co-workers
  • Prepare and make meals using our ovens and kitchen equipment to offer a taste of Sweden to our customers and co-workers
  • Prepare for the next day's trade, as well as managing food waste and making sure the cleanliness of the kitchen is to a high standard
  • Take payment at tills, clean and clear the restaurant area, and work in our busy dish-room
  • Support your colleagues, help out, and build a positive work environment, contributing to a positive team and positive customers

Requirements

  • We value experience in food service and customer care, but we also welcome practical, motivated people who are ready to take initiative
  • Ability to work in an extremely busy environment
  • Bring motivation and a willingness to take action, whether working with the team or on your own
  • Ability to remain organised and detail-orientated, even when things get busy
  • All applicants must be over the age of 18
